You may notice Nia sitting in Lagann with Simon. And Kamina's still alive. And for whatever reason the Dayakkaiser is deployed WITHOUT Yoko and Dai-Gurren is in the fight. So there are a lot of canon issues, but seriously. This is Gurren Lagann. They break reality, physics, and continuity. So its all cool.
